Policies and Procedures
Availability
My typical hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm and on weekends by prior arrangement. There may be an occasion that a client may receive communication outside of these hours via email or text message. Please feel free to respond, however replies may not be received until the next regular business hour.
As your departure dates draw closer, reasonable exceptions can be made to my availability.
Traveling client needs will be met at anytime during their trip.
Please understand that working from home gives me greater flexibility to work on your plans outside of normal hours, however I still have obligations to my family and my community.
Payment
All payments will be processed by Castaway Travel of the Carolinas. The best method of payment will always be credit or debit card. We will be happy to retain card information for future payments, however we will never retain that information without your knowledge.
Service Fees
We do not charge for our services. We are paid a commission by the company with whom we make your reservation. That being said, please remember that we spend a good amount of time looking for the best rates, flight schedules and resort benefits for each quote we complete. In the event that complete itineraries are presented and the client chooses to book elsewhere, an invoice will be delivered for the planning services rendered.
Insurance
Insurance is an ideal way to protect the investment you have made in a vacation or cruise. We will offer travel insurance to you at the time of deposit. It is your decision as to whether that expense will be added to your travel package. In the event that you decide against the protection, we will ask you to sign a waiver acknowledging that the insurance was offered to you and declined. We respect the need for each client to make his or her own decision on insurance and hope that you will respect our need to protect our business.
Final documents will not be delivered without either insurance protection on your travel or a signed waiver.
